The 5OS Project Grenache Rose 2020

It’s no secret Zimmer loves his Rosé(s), the fact he grows this for us each year is more a testament to him being caught in some 80’s-esque crop level time warp than anything else. Although in fairness time after time he strikes it home for us, only once missing out and that’s because we tried to use our own block, and that wine was rubbish at best. Hand picked and left on skins for ‘a bit’ over 24 hrs before being pressed and coolly fermented, house style is a bit of grip and sweetness, something that resembles serious. Steve Grimley, Winemaker & Proprietor

About The 5OS Project

This is essentially our ‘Home Brand’.   We make these wines ourselves and farm out others to mates, with the intention to create a range of wines that have heaps of drinkability but not at the expense of varietal, regional and vintage characteristics. They should also look the part, embracing the talent of the respective artists whilst encouraging them to find their own beat.

Aromatics: Toffee Apples, bit of Strawberry and tart fruits
Palate: Candied fruits amongst others, full mouthful of flavour and texture
Finish: Sweetish finish but the acid and phenolic grip stop it being cloying
Cellaring: Best before 2023
