The 5OS Project 4G Shiraz NV

Our 4G Shiraz features a blend of 4 consecutive vintages of Shiraz hailing from our 100+year-old vineyard in McLaren Vale. Small volumes were blended from best barrel selections of each year: 2015 (20%), 2016 (33%), 2017 (26%) & 2018 (21%). The result is one seriously smooth, satisfying Aussie red with complexity from multiple vintages yet a freshness with the inclusion of younger wine from 2018. Only 101 cases were made.

About The 5OS Project

This is essentially our ‘Home Brand’. We make these wines ourselves and farm out others to mates, with the intention to create a range of wines that have heaps of drinkability but not at the expense of varietal, regional and vintage characteristics. They should also look the part, embracing the talent of the respective artists whilst encouraging them to find their own beat.

Aromatics: Ripe and brooding with aromas of cherry, bramble, spice, oak and black olive
Palate: Bramble, black cherry, blueberry plum and olive, & a wonderful savoury element of tar and dark chocolate
Finish: Succulent, juicy and bloody long to boot
Cellaring: The wine is pronounced, yet still has so much more to unlock aromatically over the coming years

    Complex, delicate, brooding, delicious!

    Soft, smooth Shiraz. Hits all the palates, front, middle, back. Leaves a lingering soft taste with a subtle bite wanting cheese (cheddar) and lovely fruit middle palate.

    SMOOOOOTH! Berry, vanilla, panna cotta, juicy and sophisticated!! Who knew!
