The 5OS Project 2017 Nero D’Avola
The palate is warming and welcoming. Not overbearing. Flavours of crushed red fruits glide as the faint but drying tannins at intrigue to the palate. Piercing, bright acidity hums (as it does with all good Nero) and leads the way to a bitter cherry rich back palate that finishes with charry tones. Tantalising stuff - a wine I can't help but to return to.
100% Nero from the Georgiadis Vineyard. Crushed to fermenters, fermented with regualr 2-3 pump overs daily, pressed at dryness and placed into older oak for 8-10 months. (14%ABV)
