The 5OS Project 2016 Nero d’Avola
The brilliant purple hues are the first thing that grab your attention, aromatically it’s all grapey with a tinge of fresh herbs. The palate is a tart, almost spritzy, fruit bomb that leads you to think it will end sweet but the crisp acid pulls it in line and keeps it tingling through to the finish. Interesting in its simplicity, in line with current trends and whilst not especially my cup of tea it’s worth a look.
