Marsc Wine Co. 2019 Chardonnay
Palate: Linear acidity balanced with creamy oak, expressive tones of fresh tropical fruit and citrus with a mineral edge.
Colour: Light straw
Nose: Lifted aromas of citrus, lemon pith, and softer peach notes, complimented with more buttery, almond notes from the oak.
Winemaking: Grapes were hand-picked early morning whilst cool and pressed. Free run juice was kept separate and fermented in barrel. Lees was stirred during barrel maturation for up to 10 months in 30% new and older oak. 50% malolactic fermentation.
Oak: Mix of French hogsheads and puncheons
Varietal blend: 89% AH Chardonnay, 11% TAS Chardonnay
