Loom SV 2015 Shiraz
Colour: Dark with piercing bright hues showing off its youth. Nose: Intense aromatics of cherry jam, bramble, blackcurrant, five spice, dried herbs, chocolate and oak. Palate: Red into black fruits (cooked strawberry before blackcurrant and cherry) before the chalky tannins take control of the middle palate with enticing black olive, cacao with a tarry persistence. The palate is rich, long and saturating (in a good way) with an added herbal layer. A stunning wine of class and purity.
Vineyard: 100% Shiraz fruit sourced from our former old-vine, single site LOOM vineyard in McLaren Vale. Winemaking: Fermentation took place on skins in 2 tonne fermenters with two pump-overs daily until dry. The wine was then transferred to a mix of French and American oak, of which 30% was new, to build complexity. Vegan friendly. (14%ABV)
