Loom SV 2015 Chardonnay
Got more colour than I expected, nothing to be overly alarmed with but not quite luring me in. Beyond this objectification, the oak is confident and bold without being overt, stylistically it’s sort of modern, bit of flint and steeliness, even a touch of reductiveness. The palate counters this, nice well to medium weight and flavour with a lashing of crisp, ginger like tartness pulling it all together. Not quite sure what to think really, it’s good but I so wanted it to be great.
SG score 8/10
