Marsc Wine Co. 2013 Cabernet Shiraz
Nice brick red, looks and smells a bit old school in a comforting sort of way. The Coonawarra Cab is front and centre and certainly plays the high hand from an aromatic perspective. Heaps of leafy perfume leading into an elegant feeling mid palate, which whilst it’s far from massive has enough charry tannins and fruit sweetness to keep you fulfilled. There’s plenty to find enjoyable about this wine, especially if you’re into reminiscing on a leather couch in front of the fire with a wedge of aged cheese, I’m not sure I’d enjoy the second half of the bottle as much as the first but I’d not hesitate in trying.
